Decent Phone – I bought this phone to upgrade from my Oneplus 7 Pro. The fingerprint reader is much faster compared to my previous phone. Battery life is also decent and lasts a day on a full charge.

telephoto lens is HORRIBLE, focus, color balance, and exposure problems. – Up until this time i have used a cheap Android phone. I bought this Google phone because of the rave reviews on the camera and specifically because it has a telephone lens. The telephoto really only works up to what Google calls 5x ( in camera speak equivalent to maybe a 70mm lens) , after that it can NOT focus. But even with the 5x it will only focus if the subject is in the middle and a straight shot, nothing in front. the double tap feature makes it zoom but not focus where you want it to. Yes the camera is great at maco, but I’m not interested in macro. There is a good chance that this will go back . Also it wont read my fingerprint even though i set it to sensitive. Flashlight only activates for google assistant. Previous cheapo phone allowed me to just shake the phone. Voice to type also does not work.

Perfect phone for the average user – After trying five other phones, I was down to trying the Google Pixel 7 Pro with Android 13, 512GB storage and 8GB memory and I was disappointing once again with the blandness of the Android OS. The Google phone looks and feels like I am using an Iphone, everything looks like a baby drew it with crayons and the customization features are getting less and less with Android 13.

Great device, battery could be better though – I love my Pixel.. from the Assistant smarts, to the well distributed weight, to the clear screen, great fingerprint and face unlock.. overall this is an amazing device.
